Live & Let Go
I dream of the Sea where
I’m finally free.
The Sea is a Siren;
In my slumber, she calls.
The Sea sings
As the seagulls squawk.
The Sea cries
As the crabs crawl.
The Sea dances
As the crack of dawn daydreams.
I stumble along the shore where
The seashells shine like pearls,
And a crumpled message
In a broken bottle
Invites me to live and to let go.
My bare feet sink in the sand
Like quicksand,
Bringing me back to my roots--
The home where I belong.
The salty Sea seals me with a kiss
And lures me into her arms.
I let her tidal waves
Take me under,
Deciding to live and to let go,
Becoming one with the Sea.
I’m finally free.
The Sea is a Siren;
In my slumber, she calls.
The Sea sings
As the seagulls squawk.
The Sea cries
As the crabs crawl.
The Sea dances
As the crack of dawn daydreams.
I stumble along the shore where
The seashells shine like pearls,
And a crumpled message
In a broken bottle
Invites me to live and to let go.
My bare feet sink in the sand
Like quicksand,
Bringing me back to my roots--
The home where I belong.
The salty Sea seals me with a kiss
And lures me into her arms.
I let her tidal waves
Take me under,
Deciding to live and to let go,
Becoming one with the Sea.
