River
Everything is slower
down by the river
and reflections of yesterday
are coming to me just now:
In bright, green water
I can see you kissing
my forehead and teaching me how
to survive another day
of your love, bag of curses,
that I unintentionally brought
to the beach,
putting together opposite universes.
Because my shoulders
are not meant for heavy burdens
and broken promises
or broken glass.
My eyes are not made
for late reflections
of sun burning the green grass.
I am meant for other things
those that you never now how
to end and how to start,
that is why I need to thank
The wild nature,
giving me power and tearing us apart.
